The former business manager for the popular music group the Black Eyed Peas has found himself in financial trouble, with the group and personally. Admitting he failed to file income-tax returns for the group’s members and other clients, he is now filing for Chapter 7 protection of his own finances.
The Music Stopped
The Black Eyed Peas reportedly stopped working with Sean Larkin recently, after learning of his failure to complete necessary financial duties of the group. Once learning that Larkin had not filed the group’s tax returns for the last four years, The Peas terminated their working relationship with Larkin. Now dealing with tax debt troubles and mishandled letters from the IRS, The Peas are pursuing a lawsuit for breach of contract.
Larkin’s troubles continue to spiral out of control as he listed nearly $1 million in estimated debts in his bankruptcy filing earlier this week. With less than half that amount in assets, Larkin also could be facing troubles with an impending foreclosure on his condo. However, the trouble doesn’t stop there are public record shows that he owes close to $1 million in taxes on his own income.
