Dallas bankruptcy courts have been full of business bankruptcy filings over the last several months. The filings of American Airlines and Hostess have shook the city, where many are standing by to ride out the local economic storm that is expected to hit as a result. The good news is that one of the area’s largest land developers successfully exited Chapter 11 this past Monday.

Dallas Logistics Hub spent nearly two years in court resolving its debts and restructuring financial operations. Owning nearly 4,300 acres of land in south Dallas, DLH carried a huge financial burden for years.
After filing for bankruptcy following a $500 million investment from private investors, the company was a hot topic issue just a few years ago. Having emerged from bankruptcy with a plan to repay investors over the next several years, DLH is one of several local business bankruptcy success stories.
