Occupy Foreclosure Movement Going Strong

Despite public opposition and run-ins with local authorities, the Occupy Movement continues to spread around the nation. As much of the Movement’s momentum has been losing steam over the last few weeks, one branch of Occupy protestors haven’t slowed down. Occupy Foreclosure protestors are quickly gaining momentum around major areas devastated by the foreclosure crisis, bringing with it big results in most cases.

Speaking Out and Moving Up

After hitting high foreclosure rate areas in Florida and Georgia, Las Vegas is next on the Occupy Foreclosure map. Having been one of the worst hit by the mortgage debt crisis, Las Vegas has been left for dead in many ways. Now that the Occupy movement is bringing its enthusiasm and talents to the city, many of Las Vegas’ foreclosed families are hoping for positive results.

Armed with strength in numbers and a unique approach, Occupy Foreclosures has brought some tangible results for homeowners in the past. Moving into foreclosed homes, helping homeowners negotiate loan modifications and supporting the general community of homeowners, Occupy protestors have made notable progress. Unlike other branches of the Occupy Movement, these protestors have not met resistance from local authorities or had any legal troubles with organizations, a welcomed relief on many fronts.
